Case Guidelines
The Case-Based Learning
The activity will use the seven-jump method to analyze and solve the assigned online cases. The objective of the seven-jump method is give a case situation, that requires the learners to analyze the issues, propose tentative solutions, research additional information, and evaluate solutions.
The Process You will meet with your individuals groups members group discussion board in the Course Blog and complete and document each step of the process. Post your notes from each step in the group discussion board forum for this assignment
Seven Jump Method
- Identify and define unknown terms and concepts
- Identify and describe the problem in the case
- Analyze the problem by brainstorming possible solutions
- Critique the results of your brainstorming session and choose the most appropriate solutions
- Define the learning issues and objectives. What must you learn to implement the solutions?
- Engage in self-direct study to collect information and knowledge to fill the gaps specified by the learning issues.
- Synthesize the information and evaluate its utility in resolving the original problem.
Evaluation Process
One group member is to post their completed assignment in the general discussion thread in the Course Blog so that all group work is shared with the entire class. Recognnization will be made on those groups for the depth of their research and the feasibility of their solutions.
