Module 1

Title - Introduction & Course Overview (Consisiting of two lessons)

Week 1 - Lesson 1
In class meeting - Introduction and Overview of the objectives and goals for the course. Groups will be assigned and participate in an activity that will determine order the groups in facilitating a lesson. Additionally each student will be requested posted a short student profile on the designated discussion board thread on Course Blog

Activity: In class activity, each student will be asked to first provide three pieces of information about themselves-two that are true ands one that is not-and then class members guess the false statement.

Week 2 - Lesson 2
Assign chapter 1 & 2 of Long's text and post pertinent comments on the designated (Question: whether it might be effective for a nation to shelter infant industries until they had grown to sufficient size to compete internationally.) threads on the course bog for class discussion. Learning Journal is due at the completion of Lesson 2.

The Objectives of Module 1 is to provide the graduate student with an introduction into global supply management. Initiate an online collaborative learning community.

The Goal of Module 1 is to have the students create online learning communities through dialectic exchanges of the students regarding global supply chain management. Additionally to formalize the students with the online technology and course objectives and goals.
