Module 7 consists of 2 lessons: Simulation Part 3 and Face-to-Face debriefing meeting. Simulation is located at Enspire Learning and Enspire Demo
Overview:
Group Activity - each group will work as a team in developing solutions in working with the supply chain management simulation. At the end of each lesson the individual groups will post their status report on the designated thread in the Course Blog. At the conclusion of Module 7 Each group will present a debriefing in PowerPoint of the online simulation in class and post a 2-page paper supporting the group arguments and recommendations. Additionally submit a course evaluation survey.
Module Description
The use of the supply chain management simulation is to create an authentic learning environment. The previous lessons in this course have provided the framework for this Module activity and your role will be to identify relevant crucial strategic issues worthy of management concern.
The Object of the Module 7 Simulation
Is to provide the graduate student with an athentic learning in global logistics. The module uses an interactive approach where the learners engage with the online simulation. At the completion of the course the students should be able to examine the international supply chain networks and performance in different global business contexts. Additionally the students will develop competencies in understanding the dynamics of global integration of supply chain management, forecasting & uncertainty in inventory management, global strategies, and managing digital information
The Goal Is to have the students create online learning communities through dialectic exchanges that design international logistic systems by analyzing customers needs, global suppliers, and inventory data to recommend distribution center layout, international distribution locations, mode of transportation & carrier selections, 3rd party agreements, order fulfillment process, and international legal & ethical issues pertaining to international supply chain management.
